Spent an afternoon of “social distancing “ in the shed and came out with this 4 sided box in ash (turned on five centres) with a cocobolo insert in the lid.
While the club is closed down why not post pictures of what you are making and keep the “club spirit” going.

MARCH 2020 CLUB NIGHT CANCELLED
As a result of the rapid spread of the coronavirus, the Committee has been considering whether we should meet in March.
I’m sure you will agree that the health and well-being of our members is of the upmost importance and we need to reduce the risk of members catching the virus. Consequently, we have decided to cancel the March meeting.
The position is changing daily and we will keep you informed about future meetings with as much notice as possible.

LES SYMONDS DEMONSTRATION ON SCORCHING
The recent club night featured a welcome return by Les Symonds of "PREN". Les specialises in artistic and sculptural turnings, as well as functional and utilitarian pieces. He ran the "PREN" shop in Bala for several years but now focuses his woodturning activities on demonstrating, teaching, writing and producing turned items for galleries and other commissions.
Les gave us once again a very interesting demonstration, this time concentrating on scorching.
