Just a very quick update on last night’s (25th May) auction at Sychdyn to let people know that the numbers have been crunched by our Treasurer, Peter who reports the receipts at a little under £500. A Fantastic result. This should increase further when an item, unsold on the night, is sold via eBay.
Thanks must go to our auctioneers Ted and Richie and Ushers Dave and Rob for all the hard work and arm twisting and to Peter and Howard for keeping track of the money.. Also to all who helped out with setting up the auction and providing refreshments during a balmy evening and to Pete Morgan for his ceaseless efforts in persuading us to keep buying those raffle tickets. I must make special mention of the final purchaser of the night, Pete Ellis, who kindly mopped up all the remaining unsold items at the bargain bid of minus £2.
The success of the auction would have eluded us without the generosity of members who donated a multitude of items then proceeded to put hands in pockets to buy all of them back. So, many thanks for your wholehearted participation in supporting the event, it is much appreciated.
